P0300 — Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

More than one cylinder is misfiring, at random.

Symptoms

  • Rough idle or shaking
  • Loss of power
  • Check engine light flashing

Common causes

  • Old spark plugs
  • Weak ignition coils
  • Vacuum leak
  • Low fuel pressure
  • Dirty injectors
  • Low compression

How to fix

  1. Check spark plugs and coils
  2. Look for vacuum leaks
  3. Test fuel pressure
  4. Compression test if all above is OK

Can I keep driving?

Avoid if the light is flashing — it can burn the catalytic converter.
