P0520 — Engine Oil Pressure Sensor/Switch Circuit

Symptoms
- Oil light on or flickering
- Oil pressure gauge jumping
Common causes
- Low oil level or real low oil pressure
- Faulty (often leaking) oil pressure switch
- Damaged wire to the switch
How to fix
- Check the oil level FIRST
- Confirm real oil pressure with a mechanical gauge
- If pressure is OK, replace the switch and check its wire
Can I keep driving?
No — not until you know the engine has oil pressure.
