U0073 — Control Module Communication Bus "A" Off

A module stopped talking because the data bus is shut down or faulty.

Symptoms

  • Several U-codes together
  • Warning lights
  • Possible no-start

Common causes

  • CAN wiring short or open
  • Bad module
  • Low battery voltage

How to fix

  1. Charge the battery first
  2. Do the 60 Ω test at OBD pins 6 and 14
  3. Check connectors for corrosion

Can I keep driving?

Not recommended.
